The Sacrament of Reconciliation, is the modern name for First Confession. The focus of the Sacrament is about living in ‘right relationship’ with God, yourself and others. Making good choices is an important part of growing up and the gift of God’s grace can help young people to understand choices and consequences.
The students at St Peter Apostle Primary School learn about the Sacraments from Prep to Grade 6, with particular focus on Reconciliation in Grade 3. We follow the Coming To Know, Worship and Love curriculum developed by the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
There is a cost of $15 for students receiving the Sacrament. This covers the cost of the personalised sash, pin and certificate the students are given. The sash and pin is stored at school and used again at Eucharist and Confirmation. The sash is taken home after Confirmation in Grade 6.
Please complete the form on CareMonkey and make the payment to your child’s class teacher. Payment is due by Tuesday 9th October.
