Year 1: Young Engineers Melbourne South STEM incursion

18/11/2019

The Grade One students will be participating in a LEGO incursion this term.

The LEGO Challenge program introduces primary school children to the basic principles of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), integrating basic mathematics with an intuitive active learning process to help children grasp the fundamentals of physics and engineering concepts. With the use of LEGO building blocks, in conjunction with other tools and mechanical parts, the students will create, build and learn through a fun and entertaining experience. Bricks Challenge will introduce students to scientists and inventors such as Leonardo da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Archimedes and more. Each of these important figures has played a significant role in the development of science and technology today and we use their stories’ to help inspire and educate our young engineers.
