Year 3-Year 6: District Swimming

04/03/2019

Children have been selected to represent St Peter’s in the Hoppers Crossing Schools Sports Association Swimming Carnival on Monday 4th March, 2019.

This event will be held at the WynActive Outdoor Pool in Werribee, with the events commencing at 9.00am and concluding at approximately 2.30pm.

The team will be travelling by bus from school with teachers. The team will depart from school at approx. 9.00am.

All children are expected to meet in the hall at 8.45am.

They will need to wear full sports uniform with their bathers underneath. They need to bring a towel, sunscreen, hat, and enough food and drink for the day.  A plastic supermarket bag to put wet clothes etc. in is advisable.

Please do not let your child bring any devices such as a phone or iPad.

St Peter’s will be competing wearing blue swimming caps with the St Peter’s logo.   New swim wear requirements have been introduced to the SSV, so please refer to the attachment in regards to what bathers your child can wear.

The cost of the bus and pool entry will be $6.00 per child.

Parents are welcome to attend as spectators, however please note that there may be limited seating due to the size of the venue. The entry charge for adult spectators is about $2.50. We usually have a large team compared to some of the other schools, so where possible I ask parents to situate themselves at the back of the group and try not to cross over into other school’s areas.

I would also appreciate the assistance of parents to help with particular duties such as marshalling and scoring at the carnival.  If you have a valid “Working with Children Check” certification, which has been registered in CareMonkey, and have been through the St Peter’s Volunteer Interview process, please indicate accordingly below.
