Child Safety & Policies

St Peter Apostle Primary School Hoppers Crossing

At St Peter Apostle Primary School, we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. Our commitment is drawn from and inherent to the teaching and mission of Jesus Christ, with love, justice and the sanctity of each human person at the heart of the gospel (CECV Commitment Statement to Child Safety). The person of each individual human being, in his or her material and spiritual needs, is at the heart of Christ’s teaching: this is why the promotion of the human person is the goal of the Catholic school (The Catholic School on the Threshold of the Third Millennium, n. 9).

Our school vision of “Learn, relate and live in the light of the Catholic faith”, is reflected in our commitment to the safety of all students in our care and we strive to ensure that the wellbeing of all is

paramount in all we do.

Our school mission is to learn independently, collaboratively and with passion. We aim to relate authentically, honestly and with integrity. We aspire to live justly, respectfully and with compassion.

At St Peter Apostle Primary School, we regard the care, safety and wellbeing of young people as our fundamental responsibility.

At St Peter Apostle Primary School, we learn about the Catholic faith, we express our beliefs through prayer and we try to live justly every day, following the example set by St Peter Apostle. Just like St Peter,

who followed Jesus and changed his life, we too follow in his way.
